there is a nation.
a nation deeply rooted in pride and passion. a place that can be only found in the hearts of those who have visited - and in the shared memories of those who have rejoiced there. it is not a place you can find with a compass or on a map. for it is now everywhere.
It is
Red Raider Nation.

A Champion Among Us!

Super Bowl XLI
Indianapolis Colts - 29
Chicago Bears - 17
On Sunday evening February 4th, 2007, Uniontown's Gene Huey gave his hometown yet another reason to cheer! His Indianapolis Colts fought through a steady downpour and the Chicago Bears to win Super Bowl XLI. While future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning won the game's MVP honors, much credit for the win goes to running backs - Dominic Rhodes and Joseph Addai. Especially since Huey is the running backs coach!

Ed Sullivan and Uniontown's All American!
The year was 1963. The occasion? Uniontown's high school All American Ron Sepic appears on the Ed Sullivan Show. Sepic, pictured far right, was one of five high school All Americans to appear that night! Kareem Abdul Jabbar was another. To view the details visit the NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT section.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To view other national accomplishments earned by former
Red Raiders including: Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine covers, numerous professional trading cards featuring former Uniontown athletes Stu Lantz, Chuck Muncie and Nelson Munsey among others, please go HERE

What's New at Red Raider Nation?

  • Go HERE to view Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine covers featuring Uniontown natives.
  • CHUCK! Red Raider Nation is continuing its efforts to have the greatest athletes in Uniontown High School history, honored in their own hometowns. A recent visit to the Naismith Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts provides me with another avenue! Look at how they treat Uniontown alumnus Charley Hyatt at the Basketball Capital of the World! View it HERE
  • There's no use having a SCHOOL OF CHAMPIONS SIGN, if the people who visit it don't know what all of those championships mean! They will now. Red Raider Nation reveals each of Uniontown's Championships, one by one on this special page, simply titled THE SIGN!
